Dan Gilbert, professor of psychology at Harvard University and author of best-selling book “Stumbling on Happiness,” will be speaking next month at Elon’s Spring Convocation.
Gilbert is known not only for his award winning writing and work in the field of psychology, but also for three highly popular TED Talks.
He has also worked as a contributor to Time, NPR and other media outlets.
Gilbert is also an award winning researcher and teacher, having received honors from Harvard University and the American Psychological Association.
According to Dan Anderson, vice president of University communications, “Gilbert is widely known for his research into having a great quality of life.”
“He’s a professor at Harvard and he’s one of the best known psychologists in the world today,” Anderson said.
Anderson also said that Gilbert is representative of Elon’s mission to bring world leaders in various fields to campus to give students and faculty many opportunities to interact with these leaders.
Elon’s Spring Convocation will be held in the Alumni Gym on Thursday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 or free with an Elon ID and are available March 9.
